Martin Krajčo

Martin Krajčo is an Associate Professor at the Department of String, Wind and Percussion Instruments, Faculty of Music and Dance (HTF), Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU). He holds an Artist Doctorate (ArtD) and has been teaching since 2007. His academic credentials include a 2001 graduation in guitar performance and a 2020 docent title.

His education expanded through international masterclasses under renowned artists like Leo Brouwer, Abel Carlevaro, and others. He excelled in international competitions (Banská Bystrica, Bratislava, Kutná Hora) during his studies. As an artist, he performs as a soloist and collaborator with orchestras (Archi di Slovakia, Capella Istropolitana) and ensembles, participating in festivals like Guitar Festivals (Bratislava, Kutná Hora) and the Central European Music Festival. He is a member of the Bratislava Guitar Quartet and has released 7 CD projects across genres and periods.

His pedagogical focus includes guitar performance and chamber music training. Collaborations include duos with Radka Krajčová and others, alongside orchestral partnerships with artists like Tomáš Janošík and Emily van Evera.
