Martha Montello, Ph.D., is a part-time Lecturer on Global Health and Social Medicine and Temporary Course Instructor in Medical Ethics at Harvard Medical School (HMS). She concurrently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor in the History and Philosophy of Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Her work focuses on narrative methods in clinical ethics, medical humanities, and literature-and-medicine pedagogy. She mentors HMS trainees and students in these interdisciplinary areas and participates in the Division of Medical Ethics at HMS and the Brigham and Women's Hospital Residency Program in Primary Care and Population Health.
