Marlo Perry

Dr. Marlo Perry is a Research Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work, affiliated with the Child Welfare Education and Research Programs (CWERP). She serves as Director of Research and Evaluation for CWERP, overseeing projects including Title IV-E programs and the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center.

Dr. Perry focuses on large-scale applied research to inform child welfare policy and practice, with three primary areas: (1) evaluation of training methods like simulation and team-based learning, (2) implementation of evidence-based practices, and (3) emotional intelligence in child welfare professionals. Her funded projects include grants from the University of Pittsburgh's Center on Race and Social Problems and CiTECH.

Scientific awards include the Steven Manners Faculty Development Award. She supervises graduate students working on child welfare workforce development, training, retention, and well-being.
