Marl'ene Edwin

Marl'ene Edwin is the Centre Manager at the Centre for Academic Language and Literacies at Goldsmiths, University of London. She is also Deputy Director of the Centre for Caribbean and Diaspora Studies, where she researches creolistics, oral literature, and postcolonial memory.

Her research focuses on Creole language preservation, archival practices in postcolonial Caribbean literature, and decolonial approaches to diasporic identity. She has presented at international conferences on topics like transnational memory, oral history, and virtual creolisation.

Her scholarly work spans from 2005 to 2019, primarily engaging with Caribbean diaspora studies, postcolonial theory, and oral tradition analysis. Key themes include archival reclamation, trauma narratives, and intercultural communication.
