Marko Đokić is a Researcher at the Department of Genetic Research, Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" (University of Belgrade, Serbia), focusing on conservation genetics and population genetics. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics (2021-Present) and an M.Sc. in Applied Genetics (2021), with a thesis on adaptive evolution of wastewater bacteria. His B.Sc. (2020) was also in Biology from the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade.

His research interests span genetics, conservation biology, and bioinformatics, with fieldwork on the endangered blind-mole rat (Nannospalax leucodon). He participated in the STRIMHealth project (2022-Present) and contributed to COST Action CA24117 (2025-2029) on innate lymphocytes. He also worked on Covid-19 diagnostics (2020-2021) at Nikola Tesla Airport.
