Nikola Milovanović is a Researcher at the Department of Neurobiology within the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" at the University of Belgrade. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Faculty of Biology at the University of Belgrade, focusing on molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis using APP knock-in mice models.
- Ph.D. student, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (2021–)
- M.Sc. in Biological Sciences, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (2021)
- B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Physiology, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade (2020)
Nikola's research explores the effects of synthetic neuroactive steroids on Alzheimer's disease models, emphasizing early-stage molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic development. His work aligns with interdisciplinary neuroscience and molecular biology trends observed in the Institute's recent projects like VIMAD (Vascular Impairment in Alzheimer's Disease). He is affiliated with professional societies including the Serbian Neuroscience Society, Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, and Alzheimer's Association ISTAART.
