Milena Jović is a Researcher at the Institute for Biological Research 'Siniša Stanković', University of Belgrade, Department of Neurobiology. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the Experimental Neurobiology module of the Molecular Biology and Physiology program at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade.
Education:
- Undergraduate: Molecular Biology and Physiology (Applied Genetics module), Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
- Specialist: Immunology with Microbiology module, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade
Research Focus:
- Molecular and behavioral effects of bioactive compounds (fish oil, 18α-glycyrrhetinic acid) in Alzheimer's disease models
- Immunological mechanisms in neurodegeneration
- Glial cell involvement in aging-related neurodegenerative disorders
Professional Development: Completed specialized training in Laboratory Animal Science and attended multiple international neuroscience schools including the 3rd Catania International Summer School of Neuroscience (2018) and CellFit Training School on 3D cell culture (2019).
Professional Affiliations: Active member of the Federation of European Neurosciences (FENS) and Serbian Neuroscience Society (SNS), where she also serves as technical support.
