Mark Smith is an Associate Professor in History at the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE), where he directs the part-time D.Phil programme in Local History. He was formerly a Lecturer in the Modern History of Christianity at King’s College London and holds a BA (1982) and D.Phil (1987) from Jesus College, Oxford.
