Samuel C. Smith is a Professor of History and Director of the Graduate Program in History at Liberty University's College of Arts & Sciences. He specializes in the intellectual and religious development of the Colonial and Revolutionary South, with expertise in evangelical movements, colonial religion, and historical analysis.
Dr. Smith holds a BA in Bible and MA in Church History from Bob Jones University, plus a PhD in History from the University of South Carolina. His career includes teaching history at both high school and university levels.
