Mark Robinson is an Associate Professor at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, and Director of the Socio-Technical Centre. He holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology (Leeds), MSc in Research Methods in Psychology (Bristol), and BSc in Social Psychology (Loughborough).
His research spans organizational psychology with foci on human performance optimization, emergency evacuation behaviors, crowd dynamics in crisis situations, and quantitative methodologies. Current investigations include social mimicry effects, elite performance enhancement, and safety management in complex systems.
Research demonstrates strong interdisciplinary approaches combining psychology, engineering, and computational modeling. Recent publications examine non-verbal communication dynamics, sports fan psychology, evacuation behavior simulations, and socio-technical system design.
Robinson has secured £3.4 million in research funding and graduated six PhD students, currently supervising four doctoral candidates. He founded teaching modules on Management Research & Analysis and Selection & Training for Human Performance.
