Mark Pavek is a Professor of Potato Research and Extension at Washington State University's Department of Horticulture within the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Horticulture (Potato Agronomy) from WSU and multiple degrees from the University of Idaho, including an M.S. in Weed Science and B.Sc. in Agribusiness and Crop Production. His work bridges applied research and extension programs, focusing on sustainable potato and vegetable production, variety development, and economic viability for Northwest farmers.
