Mark McFeeters is a Lecturer in Community Youth Work at the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences, Ulster University. Based at the Belfast Campus, he coordinates modules from Levels 4-7, serves as Year Head for full-time BSc students, and contributes to the Faculty and University Employability Committees. His research focuses on faith-based youth work from Christian perspectives in Northern Ireland, culminating in his 2023 PhD thesis Sacred Space.

McFeeters' research explores the distinctiveness of faith-based youth work in Northern Ireland's post-conflict context, with publications on sacred space theory, Christian youth ministry, and community engagement. He has collaborated with Newman University and the University of East London as an external examiner and contributed to policy development through the Youth Work Educators Forum Ireland and Critical Voice NI.
His 2024 working paper Youth Work in Schools reviews UK-wide evidence, while his 2022 peer-reviewed article on Christian faith-based youth work addresses professionalization and narrative review methodologies. McFeeters is currently working on publications from his PhD and serves as a co-investigator for the YouthPact 2.0 research project (2024-2028).
