Eliz McArdle is a Senior Lecturer at Ulster University within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. She serves as Course Director for the BSc (Hons) Community Youth Work full-time programme and Year Head for the part-time cohort. McArdle previously led the EU-funded YouthPact project (2017-2022), focusing on youth sector peace-building, and held roles as Coordinator of Year One BSc Community Youth Work and external examiner for youth work programmes in Ireland.
Research Interests
Her research centers on feminist youth work, mental health integration in youth practice, and peace-building roles in youth work. Key themes include political engagement, sexual orientation, young parenting, and equality initiatives. McArdle actively contributes to policy responses and professional development in Northern Ireland's youth sector.

Civic Engagement
