Mark Lycette is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University's School of Design, specializing in digital media design, animation, and the integration of creative education with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He co-founded and led the Bachelor of Design (Animation) program at RMIT, which is ranked globally as one of the top animation programs. His industry experience includes roles as Art Director at Nofrontiere GmbH (Austria) and founder/director of Lycette Bros., a digital media studio with notable clients like Nickelodeon and the Australia Council for the Arts.
His academic leadership roles include Acting Associate Dean (2019–2020) and Program Manager (2000–2018) at RMIT's School of Design. He has over 20 years of management experience in pedagogical oversight, staff performance, and international collaborations. His research focuses on digital media, animation, and applying SDGs such as Quality Education (SDG 4), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Decent Work (SDG 8).
