Dr. Mark P. Holtzman serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Hofstra University. With over a decade as department chair since 2009, he also serves as Vice Chair of AACSB International's Accounting Accreditation Committee. His professional experience includes roles at Deloitte LLP and WithumSmith+Brown PC, complemented by CPA licensure in New York and New Jersey.
Dr. Holtzman specializes in financial accounting and auditing, with research focusing on data analytics in auditing, tax accounting standards, and pandemic-era payroll challenges. His work bridges academic scholarship and professional practice, emphasizing practical applications for auditors and financial managers. Notable outputs include articles in CPA Journal and Journal of Accountancy, as well as educational guides like Accounting All-in-One for Dummies.
