Mark Hogrebe

Dr. Mark Hogrebe is a Research Professor in the Department of Education at Washington University in St. Louis. His work focuses on integrating geospatial technologies into educational research, particularly examining equity in STEM education, teacher preparation programs, and spatial analysis of educational disparities. He collaborates with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) on data reporting and teacher education program assessments.

Dr. Hogrebe holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia. He teaches courses in applied statistics, research methods, and GIS for educational researchers, including the Foundations of Educational Research (ED 503) for graduate students. His research emphasizes using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze educational data, revealing spatial relationships between socioeconomic factors, school performance, and demographic patterns.
