Matthew Dunbar

Matthew Dunbar is an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Washington, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. He specializes in spatial analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), supporting research infrastructure through the Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE). His work focuses on geospatial data management, mobile data collection, and spatial statistics.

Education: Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Kansas (2010).

Research interests include GIS application development, demographic data visualization, spatial database management, and geocoding methodologies. He has contributed to advancing spatial analysis tools for demographic studies and collaborated extensively with faculty affiliates.
