Dr. Mark Colley is a former Researcher at the University of Ulm's Department of Media Informatics, affiliated with the HCI group. He completed his PhD in 2024 on trust calibration in automated vehicles and holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science (2018) and B.Eng. in Information Technology (2015). His work focuses on automated mobility, accessibility, and computational methods. Colley contributed to projects like Intuitiver (Baden-Württemberg's Smart Mobility initiative) and SituWare, addressing challenges in driver-vehicle interaction and automated vehicle communication. He has been actively involved in reviewing for top conferences (e.g., CHI, AutoUI) and organizing events, earning multiple awards for his reviews. His research emphasizes inclusive design, such as aiding visually impaired pedestrians and improving external communication systems for autonomous vehicles.
