Luca-Maxim Meinhardt is a Researcher and doctoral student at the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Group at the University of Ulm. He holds an M.Sc. in Human-Computer Interaction (2021) from the University of Siegen and a BA in Media Design from Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (2018). His research focuses on digital well-being in ubiquitous technologies, intervention strategies for excessive smartphone use, and accessibility solutions for visually impaired individuals in automated vehicles.
Key research areas include analyzing social media scrolling behaviors, developing interfaces to enhance situational awareness for visually impaired users, and investigating user reactions to smartphone intervention strategies. His work bridges HCI principles with real-world applications in healthcare, transportation, and urban mobility.
Meinhardt has contributed to over 15 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier venues like CHI, IMWUT, and MobileHCI. His current projects explore Urban Air Mobility (UAM) interface design, cross-traffic interaction frameworks, and digital detox nudges.
