Ali Askari is an academic and industry professional with expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Virtual/Augmented Reality, and Automotive User Interfaces. He holds an M.Sc. in Media Informatics from the University of Ulm and has conducted research at the HCI Group and Institute of Media Informatics. His roles have included Research Assistant, Assistant Lecturer, and PhD Candidate (supervised by University of Ulm) exploring depth perception in AR at BMW AG. He has taught courses like 'Sketching with Hardware I & II' and contributed to projects like KoFFI and SituWare.
His research focuses on user experience in immersive technologies, driver-vehicle interaction, and tangible fabrication methods. Key projects include DungeonMaker (hybrid board games with 3D printing) and VAMPIRE (haptic feedback in automated driving VR simulations).
