معرفی
Dr. Marjana Yeasmin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. Her research focuses on environmental and agricultural sciences with a particular emphasis on heavy metal contamination, soil health, and crop biofortification. She has conducted studies in Bangladesh and Australia, addressing ecological risks associated with industrial pollution and agricultural sustainability. Her work integrates analytical chemistry, toxicology, and agronomy to address global challenges like food security and environmental degradation.
Research Interests:
- Heavy metal contamination in sediments and soils
- Toxicological risk assessment for ecosystems and human health
- Biofortification strategies for essential micronutrients (selenium, zinc)
- Abiotic stress tolerance in crops (salt, drought)
- Environmental chemistry of trace elements
Collaborations: Engaged in interdisciplinary projects involving industry partnerships and international research groups. Open to supervising PhD/Masters students in environmental engineering, soil science, and agricultural biotechnology.
Lab Affiliation: Associated with RMIT's Environmental and Analytical Chemistry Research Group, focusing on advanced analytical techniques for environmental monitoring.
