Marissa Schweinfurth

Marissa Schweinfurth, EdD, serves as the Professional Learning Coordinator for the Richard O. Jacobson Center for Comprehensive Literacy (JCCL) at the University of Northern Iowa and holds the title of Assistant Adjunct Professor. She works in the College of Education, supervising the Literacy ALP course within Cedar Falls and Waterloo schools.

• Current initiatives include revitalizing the Young Readers and Writers Conference at UNI and developing new educator leadership programs

Research and Practice Focus
Her work emphasizes literacy instruction, educational leadership development, and community-school collaboration. Schweinfurth designs professional learning opportunities for educators while maintaining direct engagement with K-12 schools through literacy programs.
