Marina Henke is Professor of International Relations at the Hertie School and Director of the Centre for International Security. She specializes in grand strategy, nuclear security, and European security and defence policy.

Her research focuses on grand strategy and nuclear security, with a particular emphasis on European security dynamics. She has contributed to debates on NATO’s future and Germany’s strategic posture under the Zeitenwende.
Henke’s 2019 book, Constructing Allied Cooperation, won three major awards: the Lepgold Best Book Award, ISA Diplomacy Section Best Book Award, and APSA International Collaboration Section Best Book Award.
