معرفی
Marie-Louise Richards is an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. She leads the experimental course Reconstructions in the Department for Research and Further Education in Architecture and Fine Art. Her research focuses on 'black feminist spatial futures' through architectural and artistic research, curatorial practice, and writing. She co-edited the special issue Citations for PARSE Journal (2023). Her work interrogates spatial categories, embodiment, and resistance through critical strategies.
Key research interests include spatial politics, black feminism, curatorial methodologies, and the intersection of art/architecture with social justice. Recent publications explore themes like public space as resistance, pedagogical power dynamics, and visibility/invisibility in design. Her interdisciplinary approach spans film (e.g., Banana-Split), academic journal articles, and collaborative projects with institutions like Public Art Agency Sweden.
Her articles collectively address urgent questions about marginalized spatial narratives, agency in urban contexts, and feminist reimaginings of architecture’s possibilities. While no awards are explicitly listed, her prolific output and editorial roles reflect significant scholarly impact. She actively engages in experimental pedagogy through courses that challenge conventional architectural frameworks.
