Rosario Talevi is an architect, curator, editor, and educator currently serving as Associate Professor for Architecture/Urban Practice at the Bergen School of Architecture (2025-2031). Previously, she held research and teaching positions at the Berlin University of the Arts, Technical University Berlin, and the University of Buenos Aires, applying critical spatial practice, transformative pedagogies, and feminist futures through spatial, editorial, and curatorial strategies.
Her educational foundation includes:
- Graduate, School of Architecture, Design & Urbanism, University of Buenos Aires
- DAAD Fellow, Technical University Berlin (2011-2013)
Talevi's research interrogates the intersections of spatial practice, care ethics, and feminist theory. She develops site-based pedagogies and curatorial frameworks that challenge conventional architectural paradigms, emphasizing pluriverse approaches, eco-social design, and the politics of social reproduction. Her work consistently centers marginalized knowledge systems and advocates for architecture as radical care practice.
Her publications reveal a trajectory toward ecological and feminist reimagining of urban practice, with increasing focus on climate care, pluriverse methodologies, and the dismantling of colonial frameworks in spatial design. Recurring themes include the role of architecture in social reproduction, alternative educational models, and the integration of care ethics into urban planning.
Key honors include:
- Centro Tedesco di Studi Veneziani Fellowship (2026)
- Goethe Curatorial Grant (2023)
- Thomas Mann House Fellowship (2022)
- Architecture as Cultural Exchange Grant (2021)
- DAAD Fellowship (2011-2013)
Talevi actively shapes architectural discourse through advisory roles including S+T+ARTS Prize (2025) and mentorship for Little Fun Palace nomadic school (2023-2024). Her grant portfolio features Creative Europe's Situated Creative Practices for the Pluriverse (2024-2028) and Goethe Curatorial (2023), supporting transnational collaborations focused on ecological and social innovation.
She coordinates the Making Futures Bauhaus+ action-research project (Berlin University of the Arts/raumlaborberlin) and collaborates with collectives including SOFT AGENCY, Floating e.V., and raumlaborberlin through platforms like Floating University Berlin and the Sit-PLU network, developing natureculture learning sites and care-responsive spatial interventions.
