Marie Drews is an Associate Professor of English at Luther College. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Washington State University and a B.A. from Luther College. Her research focuses on 19th/20th-century American women’s literature, feminist studies, and food studies. She examines domestic texts, constructions of femininity, and representations of food in literature. Drews teaches courses on women’s literature, American literature, and writing support for diverse students.

Recent work includes analyses of Ruth Ozeki’s novels and studies on pandemic-era pedagogy. Her 2007 essay Food: My Feminist Issue remains influential in feminist food discourse.
