Marian Ørgaard

Marian Ørgaard serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the Section for Organismal Biology. Her research spans plant taxonomy, ecology, and urban biodiversity conservation, with particular expertise in horticultural plants and ornamental species.

Her research interests focus on Botany, Horticulture, Plant Taxonomy, Urban Ecology, Grassland Ecology, and Ornamental Plants. Ørgaard's work examines biodiversity in urban green spaces, grassland restoration, and the systematics of aquatic plant families including Araceae and Nymphaeaceae.
