Maria Rosa Rosselló Ramon

Maria Rosa Rosselló Ramon is a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), Faculty of Education. She specializes in Didactics and School Organization, with extensive teaching experience across multiple undergraduate and postgraduate programs including the Double Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education, Primary Education Degree, and Master's programs in Psychoeducational Research and Intervention.

She earned her Doctorate in Educational Sciences from the UIB with a thesis focused on 'Individualized curricular adaptation as a strategy and improvement process in a primary school. A case study,' which examined collaborative curriculum adaptation processes to promote school inclusion. Throughout her career, she has held significant administrative roles including department secretary, deputy director of the Institute of Educational Sciences, and vice-dean of the Faculty of Education.

Her research interests center on inclusive educational practices, with particular emphasis on curriculum design for diverse student populations. She investigates how collaborative approaches to curriculum adaptation can enhance school inclusion, especially for students with special educational needs. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical classroom applications, focusing on teacher training and pedagogical innovation in both regular and hospital educational settings.

Professor Rosselló Ramon is an active member of two prominent research groups: GREID (Inclusive School and Diversity) and GITED (Childhood, Technology, Education and Diversity). She currently participates in the research project 'COVID-19 and Hospital Pedagogy: inclusive and technological solutions in times of confinement' under the Call for Research on Social Impact applied to Sustainable Human Development in the context of COVID-19.

She has directed the Expert Course in Higher Education Teaching Techniques at the UIB since 2010 and serves as a thesis advisor for both undergraduate and graduate students. Her teaching portfolio includes foundational courses in didactics, curriculum design, qualitative methodology, and teaching innovation across multiple degree programs.

Her academic work spans educational organization, special education needs (particularly for students with physical and mental disabilities), and educational planning. She has established herself as a key contributor to teacher training programs and inclusive educational practices at the UIB and beyond.
