Maria Federica Moscati is a Reader in Law and Society at the University of Sussex's School of Law, Politics and Sociology. She holds a PhD from SOAS and is an Italian advocate, trained mediator, and former dancer with expertise in interdisciplinary legal research.

Her research spans Dispute Resolution, Comparative Legal Studies, Children's Rights, Queer Legal Scholarship, and intersections like Dance/Law and Hormones/Law. Her work combines ethnographic methods, comparative analysis, and artistic approaches.
Recent articles focus on gender identity, children's rights, same-sex dispute resolution, and mediation inclusivity, with keywords in human rights, legal culture, and social justice. She has received the National Mediation Award for Diversity and Inclusion (2022) and was a finalist for the OUP Law Teacher of the Year (2020).
