Dr. Bonnie Holligan is an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Sussex's School of Law, Politics and Sociology. Her research focuses on environmental law, property law, and their intersections with climate policy, urban planning, and technology. She leads the UK Earth Law Judgments Project and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams on soil carbon sequestration and urban growing spaces during the pandemic.

- Joined Sussex in 2014; previously a legal assistant at the Scottish Law Commission (2008–2009)
Research interests include environmental governance, property rights in climate contexts, and the commodification of environmental resources. Active in projects like the Environmental Justice Law Clinic and the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme (SSRP). Awards include a 2016 Higher Education Academy Fellowship.
