Margy Meath is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the State University of New York at Brockport. She also serves as a Committee Member on the President’s Council on Diversity & Inclusion. With over 30 years of experience in health and mental health fields, she has held administrative, supervisory, and service roles. Her academic roles began as an adjunct professor in 2009 and transitioned to a full-time position in 2011.
Education: BSW from Nazareth College, MSW from Syracuse University.
Research interests focus on mental health recovery, person-centered planning, organizational development, supervision, leadership, and hospice care. She actively consults and trains professionals across New York and beyond, offering workshops on these topics. Current courses taught include Practice I, Interdisciplinary Health Practice III and IV, Diagnostic Process, and Advanced Standing Integrative Seminar.
