Margie J. Phillips is a full-time Instructor and holds multiple leadership roles at Marshall University's Brad D. Smith Schools of Business and Lewis College of Business. She serves as Director of Enrollment Management, Director of the Energy Education Center, and Sustainability Management and Technology Coordinator. Her responsibilities include curriculum design, student recruitment, and overseeing the Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainability Management and Technology.
Her professional roles focus on integrating sustainability and energy education across K-12 schools in West Virginia, promoting energy efficiency, and fostering community engagement. Phillips has over 18 years of experience in sustainability and energy management at Marshall University, including developing university-wide sustainability and recycling plans. She actively participates in community initiatives through roles at the Cabell County Solid Waste Authority and Help for Animals.
Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Introduction to Management, Renewable Energy Strategy, and Green Project Management. Her research emphasizes sustainability education and energy management practices.
