Margie McInerney is a Professor of Management at Marshall University’s Lewis College of Business, Department of Management and Health Care Administration. She has served since 1982 and holds a PhD from The Ohio State University (1983). Her research focuses on integrating AI into business education, workforce dynamics, healthcare administration, and organizational leadership. Key awards include the Lewis College of Business’s 2017 Meet the Scholars Award and WV State Government’s 30-Year Service Pin (2016).
Research interests span AI applications in management, ethical decision-making in business, global workforce trends, and small business strategies. Notable publications address remote work during the pandemic, labor crises, and mergers & acquisitions’ HR challenges. She actively serves on the Board of Advisors for Alias 14 W, the Tri-State SHRM Chapter, and the American Federation of Teachers’ advisory committees.
Community involvement includes roles with the LERA Automobile Industry Council since 1988. Her work bridges academic research with practical business challenges, emphasizing strategic human resource management and organizational change.
