Margaret Struthers

Dr. Margaret Struthers is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Manchester Metropolitan University, with over a decade of experience in social work education and practice. She works across BA, MA, and apprenticeship programs in social work, serving as simulation and employability lead and skills development lead for the MA program.

• Education: Master of Research in Health and Social Care, BA (Hons) Applied Social Studies, and Certified Qualifying Social Worker (CQSW)

Research Interests focus on domestic violence and abuse, motivational interviewing, and innovative teaching methods. Her work integrates active learning and simulation-based approaches to bridge theory and practice.
