Marek Neuman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Global Politics of Europe at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. He holds the Jean Monnet Chair of European Policy and Governance (2023–present) and serves in multiple academic roles, including Secretary of the MA IR Admission Board and Chair of the Euroculture Programme Committee. His research focuses on European Integration, EU foreign policy, and relations with Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He has edited major works such as *European Union Governance in Central Asia: A Sectoral Approach* (2025) and contributed to influential journals like the *Journal of Contemporary European Studies*.
Neuman's academic career includes roles as Programme Director of Undergraduate Studies (2014–2018) and editorial board membership of the *Central European Journal of International and Security Studies*. His work bridges historical institutionalism with contemporary EU policy analysis, emphasizing geopolitical dynamics and democratic promotion.
