Marcus Abrahamsson is a Senior Lecturer at the Division of Risk Management and Societal Safety within the Lund University Faculty of Engineering (LTH). He is also a profile area member of the LTH Profile Area: Food and Bio. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in disaster risk reduction and climate resilience.
Research Interests: His research focuses on disaster risk management, emergency response systems, climate change adaptation, and institutional governance challenges. He explores topics like simulation exercises in crisis preparedness, governmental collaboration structures, and capacity development partnerships.
Recent Work: His recent articles address design elements of emergency simulations, governance challenges in Southern Africa's climate policies, and the dynamics of international capacity-building initiatives.
