Marco Mezzadri is a full professor at the University of Parma in the Department of Humanities, Social Studies and Cultural Industries. He serves on the university's administrative board (CDA), directs the Foundation Year Course, and is Vice-Director of the university's e-learning and multimedia center. He coordinates the Laboratorio di Glottodidattica and has extensive experience in teacher training since 1991.

His research focuses on educational linguistics, with emphasis on:

- Quality in foreign language teaching
- Teacher training and assessment
Recent publications include studies on neuroscience in language learning and the use of artificial intelligence for developing writing skills. His work spans multimodal teaching, CLIL/EMI methodologies, and inclusive language education.
