Prof.ssa Elisabetta Longhi is a fixed-term Researcher at the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences and Cultural Enterprises of the University of Parma, where she teaches German Linguistics and Translation Studies in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. She has held temporary teaching positions at the Universities of Parma (2008-2018), Modena (2016), and Macerata (2012-2016). Her academic career includes research grants in German Language and Translation Studies (University of Parma 2008-2012; University of Catania 2022) and coordination of e-learning activities at the University Language Center in Forlì (University of Bologna 2013-2014).

Her research focuses on three interconnected areas: Translation Studies, particularly contrastive linguistic analysis for medical and economic communication; Stylistics, with emphasis on Baroque literary texts; and Digital Tools for German Language Teaching. Recent publications explore translation competence development, civic education in language classrooms, and identity construction in medical forums.
She serves on the Scientific Committees of La Torre di Babele journal and the L’eredità di Babele book series, and is part of the editorial board for Linguistic And Cultural Education (LACE). Her awards include the Mario Soldati Literary Prize (2002) and Merano Europa Literary Prize (2009).
