Marco Giovannetti is an Assistant Professor at the University of Turin, affiliated with the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology. His research focuses on plant-fungus symbiosis, root system architecture, and nutrient signaling in plants, particularly through mycorrhizal interactions and calcium-mediated pathways.
He teaches courses in

- General Botany (Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and MONTES)
Recent publications explore symbiotic signaling, root physiology, and nutrient dynamics in legumes like Lotus japonicus, utilizing advanced sequencing and phenotyping techniques. He is actively involved in academic governance, serving on the Degree Course Council (Consiglio di Corso di Laurea) and Departmental Council (Consiglio di Dipartimento).
