Marcie Warner is a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh's Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Her laboratory research focuses on molecular mechanisms of gene expression regulation, with particular emphasis on histone modification processes and transcriptional complexes.
Her published work examines the functional roles of transcription complexes like Paf1 and Bur1 in regulating histone modifications, cryptic transcription, and non-coding RNA formation. Key publications investigate Rtf1's multifunctional role in directing cotranscriptional histone modification and its impact on RNA 3'-end formation through histone H2B ubiquitylation pathways in yeast models.
