Marc Perreault is a Clinical Professor at the Faculté de pharmacie, Université de Montréal. His work focuses on Critical Care Pharmacotherapy, particularly in managing pain, agitation, delirium, and iatrogenic withdrawal syndrome in ICU patients. He leads research projects on sedation protocols and pharmacological interventions for neurological trauma.
- Education: BSc in Pharmacy (UdeM), MSc in Hospital Pharmacy (Hôpital Saint-Luc), PharmD (SUNY Buffalo), Research Fellowship (Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal)
His research explores pharmacotherapeutic strategies for traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients, opioid withdrawal management, and implementation of evidence-based practices in critical care. Publications span drug utilization reviews, sedation protocols, and pharmacist-driven research in ICU settings.
Awardee of Prix Roger Leblanc (2015), Fellow of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (2017) and Ordre des Pharmaciens du Quebec (2018), he has secured grants from FRQS and CIHR. He directed the MSc in Advanced Pharmacotherapy program (2007-2016) and contributes to post-ICU syndrome (PICS) clinics.
