Julie Méthot serves as Dean and Full Professor at Laval University's Faculty of Pharmacy, holding significant leadership roles including Vice Dean for Academics (2021-2023) and Director of the Master's Program in Advanced Pharmacotherapy (2013-2021). She maintains active teaching responsibilities across undergraduate and graduate pharmacy programs with specialized courses in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and scientific communication.
Her research focuses on cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, cardiometabolic disorders, and clinical pharmacy practice with particular expertise in sex differences in pharmacotherapy and medication optimization. Méthot leads evaluative research on drug utilization, pharmacist clinical activities, and medication use quality within the healthcare system.
