Marc Maufort is a Full Professor of English, American, and postcolonial literatures and drama at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium). He currently serves as the editor of Recherche littéraire/Literary Research, the bilingual annual publication of the International Association for Comparative Literature (ICLA).
His research encompasses diverse literary and dramatic traditions, with primary interests including:
- English and American literary studies
- Postcolonial theory and literature
- Theatre and drama analysis
- Comparative Indigenous performance in the Pacific region
Maufort has authored or co-edited significant scholarly volumes, such as Labyrinth of Hybridities: Avatars of O’Neillian Realism in Multi-ethnic American Drama (1972-2003) (2010) and New Territories: Theatre, Drama, and Performance in Post-apartheid South Africa (2015), reflecting his expertise in cross-cultural theatrical expressions.
