Marc K Peter serves as Professor and Head of the Competence Centre Digital Transformation at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) School of Business, and as Adjunct Professor at Charles Sturt University (CSU) in Australia. His industry experience includes executive roles at eBay, E-TRADE, and LexisNexis across Europe and Asia-Pacific, where he led major digital transformation initiatives.
His academic credentials include a DBA from CSU, Executive MBA from BFH/Babson/PKU, Master of Marketing from Basel, and studies in E-Business Engineering (Bern) and Corporate Finance (Berkeley). He has also completed executive education at Columbia, Harvard, MIT, and Stanford.
Professor Peter's research centers on digital transformation, where he developed the 'Seven Action Fields' framework based on 2,590 participants. This model guides organizations through customer orientation, digital business development, leadership, process automation, marketing, technology, and data. His work emphasizes practical strategy development using tools like the Digital Transformation Canvas.
