Marc Husband is a Lecturer in Community and Youth Work Studies at the University of Sunderland, affiliated with the Faculty of Education, Society and Creative Industries. He teaches modules such as Principles of Informal Education, Ethical Practice, and Research for Practice on the BA (Hons) in Community and Youth Work Studies, and contributes to the MA in Childhood and Youth Studies.
His research focuses on informal education, youth work’s adaptation to new technologies, and creative methodologies. Notable projects include evaluating creative arts in schools (2011), researching youth work and the voluntary sector with Dr Ilona Buchroth (2014), and a PhD on new technologies in youth work (2016). Recently, he collaborated on a pilot study on 'home takeovers' with Professors Stephen MacDonald and Catherine Donovan.
