Marc Davenport is a Lecturer of Practice in the Department of Accounting & Information Management at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration in Accounting from the same university.
With over 34 years of professional experience, Davenport specializes in auditing, accounting, and advisory services, particularly for financial services clients. He has expertise in SEC matters, financial reporting, and advising organizations from early-stage startups to global entities. His leadership roles include teaching, counseling, and mentoring, alongside active participation in community and professional service.
He is a long-time member of the Haslam Department of Accounting & Information Management advisory board and has received notable recognitions, including the 2010 Pathbuilders Mentor of the Year Award and the 2011 Atlanta Business Impact Leader designation.
