Manolis Mavrikis

Professor Manolis Mavrikis is a leading academic in Artificial Intelligence and Analytics in Education at UCL Knowledge Lab, part of the IOE Faculty of Education and Society. His research focuses on AI-driven educational technologies, including exploratory learning environments, adaptive feedback systems, and learning analytics. He has pioneered projects like Fractions Lab and the Mathematical Creativity Squared initiative, emphasizing the intersection of AI, HCI, and EdTech.

His work spans STEM education, teacher training, and large-scale educational technology implementations, such as the state-wide initiative in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Notable achievements include EU-funded projects (e.g., iTalk2learn) and awards for innovative educational tools. He advocates for transparent, teacher-inclusive design, as seen in the iAuthELO authoring environment for intelligent learning objects.
