Mani Venkatesh is an Associate Professor in the Supply Chain Management Department at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. He holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and has over 24 years of combined academic and industry experience, including senior management roles in Fortune 500 companies. Prior to his current position, he served as an Associate Professor and Head of the MSc program at Montpellier Business School and as a visiting professor at institutions like ISCTE Business School (Lisbon), IIM Bodhgaya, TAPMI India, and the University of Porto.
His research focuses on digital transformation of global supply chains, sustainability, and modern slavery issues in emerging economies. Key interests include supply chain resilience, AI-driven innovation, Industry 4.0 applications, and ethical supply chain practices. His work spans journals such as Harvard Business Review, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, and Journal of Business Research.
Recent publications emphasize AI adoption for supply chain resilience, blockchain in logistics, and frameworks for sustainable consumption. His research integrates practical insights from industry collaborations and global case studies. Venkatesh is affiliated with the Transport Institute and the David Dreman Behavioural Management Lab at the Asper School.
His teaching emphasizes sustainable supply chains, business analytics, and lean management. He actively contributes to the academic community through editorial roles and conference engagements.
