Dr. Mandie Foster is an Adjunct Lecturer and Research Scholar at Edith Cowan University's School of Nursing and Midwifery, specializing in pediatric nursing and child/family-centered care. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (2013), Postgraduate Diploma (2008), Postgraduate Certificate (2006), and Diploma in Nursing Studies (1990) from New Zealand institutions. With extensive clinical experience at Christchurch Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital, she now supervises higher-degree research students and leads international collaborations.
Her research focuses on pediatric nursing priorities, systematic reviews, psychometrics, and therapeutic approaches like child art engagement. She co-chairs the ORIGINS Mental Health Research Interest Group and holds leadership roles in the International Network for Child and Family Centred Care.
