Malin Wieslander is an Associate Professor at Linköping University, affiliated with both the Division of Education, Teaching and Learning (PEDI) and the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL). Her research focuses on police ethics, professional identity, and gender equality within law enforcement institutions. Key areas include analyzing how organizational humor reinforces or challenges police culture, examining sexual harassment dynamics, and exploring corruption through an ethical lens.
She holds a PhD in Pedagogical Work from Karlstad University (2014) and has conducted extensive research funded by the Swedish Council for Working Life and Social Research. Recent work includes collaborations with Silje Lundgren on sexual harassment within the Swedish Police Force and studies on intersecting social categories among police trainees.
Her 2025 publications address hate crime policy barriers, sexual harassment reporting mechanisms, and methodological innovations in narrative research. Earlier work (2024) compared professional judgment development across teacher, medical, and police education systems.
